Starting point

You have many devices or zones. You cannot place a technician next to every one of them and check them continuously. The worst-case scenario is simple: the first person to notice a fault is a guest.

The issue is not always the fault itself. Often it is the time between someone noticing something wrong and that information reaching the right person.

The simplest experiment

You do not need to start with a full maintenance-management system. Prepare a short form and place a QR code next to the device that opens the report directly.

The form should ask only for information needed to start a response: what the report concerns, what is happening and, if useful, a photo or contact details.

What happens afterwards matters most. The report cannot disappear into an inbox nobody checks. Someone must receive it and know what to do next.

DIY

For this episode we prepared a simple QR-code and form example that you can adapt to your venue. It is not a complete maintenance system. It is a low-cost test of whether easier reporting improves information flow.
